So many leaves
As the trees slowly set each leaf free. It now becomes nature’s turn to prepare the leaves for their next journey. Fall has added its own rainbow of colors to each tree, and now the wind sends the leaves on their movie theater journey to their story’s end.
When you look at a tree, you do not realize how many leaves it has until they slowly become a carpet of all the colors in a crayon box. Some leaves set off on a journey across the road while others remain where they fall.
As the barrels are filled one by one, I am left to think of all the blessings that I have received in my life so far. Sometimes it is easy to forget that just being able to look into the mirror each morning is as rewarding as we need.
No life is ever easy, and we all have our fair share of hiccups. One finds that if your day goes sideways, there is always something positive to reflect on if you want to.
Raked the yard clean. Put everything in its place for the day. The next morning, the yard was again covered. Nature follows its natural course. We, in turn, react to the natural course of things. What is it in our lives that we have control over? In our youth, we have all tried to push that proverbial rock up the hill. We have all taken a turn at it, hoping maybe this time we would succeed.
Time has placed its hand on our shoulder. Like the fall leaves, we too are on a journey. We have traveled many a road in our lives.
